My Roots Drink Deep from the Black Blood of the Earth!

By all the Gods!  I think middle age me is becoming Old Man me!

The shift (back) to OSR play is great.  I'm so glad that people young and old are reaching back through time to play old school rpg's, and that folks are riffing on the old rulesets to create what amount to well-produced (in most cases) homebrew rulesets with deep B/X and AD&D roots.  Everything old is new again, and most importantly these stripped down games seem to stress roleplaying, the very heart of what makes tabletop rpg's so amazing in the first place.

Among these posts you will find content for the two rulesets I tend to play, Castles & Crusades and Labyrinth Lord & AEC.  I play online and off, using FantasyGrounds for my VTT of choice.  I've been using that software since 2008, well before the sudden rush to VTT (especially since the release of the 5e ruleset and subsequent materials)

It's not surprising then, to find that I prefer old music to new, or old movies to new, or...well, you get the picture.

What I do love is the great content that continues to be produced by gamers like myself who love the 'old ways', and want to build upon the foundations of good/great content.

I hope that I can soon be counted among them.
